On August 15 we went to Massaya for lunch. We were a group of 15. I asked my husband to get a bottle of Pepsi to the table because it is not practical for me to come and go many times knowing that I have 2 babies. The waiter followed him and told him in a very rude way that it was not allowed to bring the bottle to the table. We have to go and fill our cups there. My husband told him that we understood that but we’re a group of 15 so the bottle will barely be enough for us. He said that it is not allowed and took the bottle of his hand. One of our friends called the waiter to tell him why is he acting this way so he said these are the rules. We asked for the manager who was as rude as his fellow. Then, oh yes, when we asked for the owner. He came with his discourtesy and looked up at me while I was talking and when I finished he said bluntly these are the rules. So my husband asked for the bill. And with a movement of his hand he asked us to leave the place without paying! Meaning I don’t even care about your money, get out of here. Some people there asked us to stay and let go because the children haven’t eaten yet and started to cry (yes they served the buffet at 2:00 PM).
My friends felt insulted because they saw how calm I was talking to him to avoid any clash with the others. But he was so disrespectful and mean. We then left for Kefraya (that was my first choice with my husband but the others wanted to try Massaya!) and let me tell you that we enjoyed the food there, the sangria and specially we noticed the kindness of the waiters!!!
